For the 1st time in along time I felt like someone was trying to actually help me and understood my pain. Not push pills at me or belittle me. Mary and James worked with me.

Mary told my husband she thought it was worth a shot for me to make an appointment for a consultation and evaluation. After 10 years of constant itching, I really had nothing to lose and everything to gain. Made the appointment and after 8 weeks of treatment by Suparna, Beth and Mary, the ice bags are back in the freezer. I can't tell you how good it feels to be free of them. I'm so very grateful to these smart, dedicated and kind people, and so happy that Mary made that suggestion. I highly recommend the Damany Center for relief of chronic pain.

I've been working with Suparna and Dave for about 6 months now via Skype, on understanding and fixing my RSI, and it's really been life changing (or really saved my current job and lifestyle).

I live in Israel and was encountering debilitating chronic pain in both my wrists preventing me from working and functioning in life. No one in the medical system here was able to help me (or diagnose me). Desperate I decided to contact the authors of good RSI books I had read to see if they knew someone in Israel who could help me. To my surprise Suparna got back to me that she gives online consultations! Finally someone who really understood what I was going through! Step by step she taught me the exercises and stretches necessary to healing and staying healthy, I don't know if I would have every recovered without her guidance. Thank you Suparna!

The first appointment was focused on immediately giving me a bunch of stretching exercises and changes on how I work. We then continued to meet monthly and I've continued seeing steady improvements in my RSI. After about 3-4 months, I started working with Dave doing more active physical therapy exercises.

My husband has been a client of the Damany Center for treatment of shoulder pain and loss of range of motion in that area. During one of his treaments with Mary, he mentioned that I had been dealing with brachial radial puritis for many years without relief. It is an intense itching - mine was in both arms, due to an impingement or inflammation of the brachial nerve, found in the cervical spine. I would often wake up to find blood on my arms and bedding, having scratched my arms raw during my sleep. It would start with a tingling sensation, followed by little bumps that eventually turned into lesions. The only thing that offered any relief was to wrap my arms in ice bags. Think about how difficult that makes doing normal, every day activities. I started with a visit to my GP, and from there saw the dermatologist, physical therapist, acupuncturist. I was put on different compounded creams and lotions and tried drugs like hydroxizine and gabapentin, none of which worked long term. Even researched going to the Mayo Clinic trying to find something to make the non-stop itching end.

Her book "It's Not Carpal Tunnel Syndrome" was one of the first great books that I found when I started getting RSI symptoms, but I really didn't even think to reach out until I saw another recommendation online; pointing out that she does have a clinic and does video consultations. I called and had an appointment within a few days.

It's turned into a pretty big commitment to fix my RSI and I probably wasn't really understanding the timeline or how big this problem was when I started, but I'm really relieved that I found help. Suparna has been really supportive throughout, in providing useful information to help you understand the problem and helping you build better computer usage habits. I'd really recommend reaching out if you are having RSI problems.

The following is a review from my wife: "I have been to over 20 physical therapists, many back doctors, chiropractors, had steroid injections, and tried many pain medications since 1995 for ongoing back pain from an accident when I was in high school. I was completely desperate when I came upon Suparna Damany in 2005. I can't begin to explain Suparna's immense talent in developing her expertise in dealing with the complexity of the human body (and with the pain cycle). Her focus on the hands on approach & addressing deep muscle tissue effectively gets to the root of the problem (clearly analyzing the whole body: blending traditional & holistic techniques, not just narrowly assessing the apparent symptoms as many others in the profession do). She and her team (especially Beth) have been the only ones able to get me off pain meds, back to work, and get my pain to a manageable level when no one else could. This Spring, I re-injured my back (now w/ fractured vertebrae with osteoporosis, 2 herniated disc's, arthritis in L4 and L5 & sacralization). When I found out she had a new location on Hamilton Boulevard, I was ecstatic because I knew that's exactly what I needed to get relief. There is this underlying sense that they REALLY care about your well-being and you see their unwavering determination to get to the bottom of it; as if you were someone in their own family. To top it off, the new location is beautiful & cozy atmosphere and super friendly staff. The also offer a “wet spa treatment” which was unbelievably soothing. It doesn't surprise me that people still travel across the globe to get treated by her and her team. I just feel so blessed that we have a practice here in the Lehigh Valley with this kind of top-notch service, professionalism, and most importantly… effectiveness!" - KSR
